HSM Pure 420s Strip Cut Shredder is a high-end paper shredder made for use offices. This functional shredder is best suited for medium-scale applications and busy work environments. It is capable of shredding up to 24 sheets of paper at a time at a speed of 12.8 feet/min. The 9.5” feed opening width means that all officially used paper sizes can be shredded in one go, without the need to fold them. The lifetime warranted hardened steel cutting rollers are capable of effortlessly shredding paper clips, staples, credit cards, and optical disks as well as paper to shreds that meet P-2 security standard. HSM Pure 420s features a range of technologies that separate it from other shredders in the market in terms of ease of use. The Anti Jam technology it utilizes is crucial in controlling overloading at the input throat and thus preventing frequent jams. The auto-reverse function clears jams that still do occur by reversing the motor once it detects a jam, ejecting the stuck material out through the feed. To further aid its users, this document shredder comes with a light barrier that detects when a paper is fed into it and automatically turns the motor on. This also saves power as the motor only works when it is required to. The 9.2 gallon waste compartment below it is great for holding waste. The level of waste in it can be easily noted through its level indicator. Moreover, for non-paper waste material there is a separate waste bag. Finally, HSM 420 Strip Cut Shredder features a great safety element that turns the motor off whenever pressure is applied on it. This component is crucial in times of emergency as a quick method for turning the shredder off.
